Abstract:
From the hexane crude extract of the leaves of Kopsia Singapurensis, the family of Apocynaceae, a mixture of three known triterpenes was identified. Three of them were pentacyclic triterpenes which consists of lupeol (lupane)1, β-amyrin (oleanane)2 and α-myrin (ursane)3. The components in the mixture were identified using spectroscopic methods and also comparison with data from the literature.
