Charitable Act Meaning
Zakaat Zakaat is one of the five pillars of Islam and a means to cleanse one’s wealth. Zakah has to be given to the needy.
Lillah Lillah comprises any form of charity given on a pure voluntary basis to the needy.
Sadaqah Donations that are large or small and towards any good cause are considered Sadaqah. Sadaqah is any amount of money donated and intended for the poor.
Qurbani Muslims rejoice each year for the festival of Eid ul Adha. The festival is marked by the sacrifice (i.e., Qurbani) of an animal, usually a sheep, goat, or cow with a significant portion given to the poor.
Fitrana Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is an obligatory charity given to the poor for every Muslim who possesses a significant amount of wealth); it must be paid before Eid-ul-Fitr (i.e., before the end of Ramadan).
