Table 1: Criteria for General Symptoms in the Challenge Test

Diagnosed as a positive reaction when there are two or more predominant symptoms, and as a false-positive reaction when there is one predominant symptom or more than one of the other symptoms:

  1. Rash or erythema of the skin (strong color and area, wheal or urticaria)
  2. High level hypotension, nonpalpable pulse
  3. Bronchospasm or respiratory distress due to upper respiratory tract edema
  4. Facial edema
