The clinically suspected meningitis cases were between 2 days and 89 years of age, with a median age of 12 months. The highest number of culture-positive bacterial meningitis cases was from the neonates. The meningococcal meningitis cases were between 5 days to 89 years old with a median age of 30 months. All except one meningococcal meningitis cases were below 15 years of age (Table
2).
