The meningococcal isolates were susceptible to the commonly used antibiotics. All the meningococcal isolates were susceptible to ceftriaxone, chloramphenicol, meropenem and minocycline; however, 22% isolates showed resistance to cotrimoxazole and 11% intermediate resistant to ciprofloxacin (Table
4).
