The p values for HPV status based on differences in age (<65 vs ≥65 years old), gender (male vs female), tobacco use (smoker vs non-smoker), anatomical location (oral vs. oropharyngeal vs laryngeal), tumor stage (early vs late) or its differentiation level (well- vs, moderately- vs. poorly differentiated) were insignificant (p> 0.05)
