The distal fibular is enlarged and posteriorly located. Secondary osteoarthritis of the ankle joint is noted. A heel-alignment view (B) confirms the degree of heel varus. From the dorsoplantar foot X-ray, the metatarsals are adducted and the 1st metatarsal appears short due to plantar flexion.
