A 13-year-old boy injured his wrist after a fall while playing football. Plain radiographs at injury were negative (a). Radiographs following 5 weeks of immobilization indicated metaphyseal sclerosis in close proximity to the distal radial physis (b). CT findings at 5 weeks after injury were indicative of a healing undisplaced Salter-Harris type II fracture of the distal radius with a flake palmar metaphyseal fragment (c).
