Before surgery the mean MMP2 activity (mean ± s.d.) of the patients was 3.33±0.95 with range 2-5 and the median was 3. After surgery the MMP2 activity all the patients was found zero. t-test showed that the mean MMP2 activity before treatment was significantly higher than that of post treatment (t70 = 21.03; p <0.0001).
