GradeS – grade of type I collagen in the surface zone; GradeI – grade of type I collagen in the deep zone; Ages are listed in years; M = male, F = female. The difference of immunolocalization of type I collagen grades between the OA group and the normal control group was statistically significant (p = 0.021). The difference of immunostaining of type II collagen grades between the OA group and the normal control group was statistically significant (p = 0.018).
