Guoxun Chen

Dr. Guoxun Chen obtained his BS and MS degrees in the Department of Virology and Molecular Biology at Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. He completed his Ph.D degree in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2001 and his postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Genetics in 2006 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. In 2006, he became a faculty member in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Now, he is a tenured associated professor at the University of Tennessee and has published more than 70 papers.

Prof. Emanuele Calabrò studied physics at the University of Messina where he obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics in 1990. Afterwards he obtained a Bachelor degree in Engineering , several post-graduate masters and a PhD in the field of applied physics. Now he is Full Professor of Physics at the Institute of Industrial Technology of Messina, Italy, and he is PhD-researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Sciences, Physics Sciences and Earth Sciences of the University of Messina, Italy. He have published more than 70 refereed papers and is author of several monographs and book chapters. Also, he is reviewer of several ISI journals and editor of prestigious special issues.

Jyh-Ping Chen

Dr. Jyh-Ping Chen has been a professor in Chemical and Materials Engineering at Chang Gung University since 1997. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1981 and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1988. He joined Chang Gung University in 1994 and established the Graduate Institute of Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering in 2002. He and served as the first director of this institute until 2006. He was the head of the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department from 2006 to 2014. Professor Chen has published 132 papers in SCI journals with more than 2900 citations. His current research interests include biomaterial, tissue engineering and drug delivery.

Albert Krastanov

Born June 30, 1960 in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. In 2007 he was awarded the scientific degree "Doctor of Technical Sciences". Since the following year he has been a full professor at the Department of Biotechnology, and since 2012 he has been his head. Specialized in Italy, Japan, USA, and France. In 2001 he was a visiting professor at the University of Osaka, Japan. Invited lectures in Italy, USA, India and Japan. Prof. Krastanov is the author of over 185 scientific publications and 8 textbooks on biochemistry, biotechnology and enzymology. His scientific achievements are cited 2500 times by the international scientific community. He leads and participates in a number of scientific and international projects of the EU's Seventh Framework Program, in the US, Japan, Italy and Germany.
