Victor-Manuel Castano-Meneses holds BSc, MSc and PhD in Physics from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, where he is a Full-Professor at the Centro de Fisica Aplicada y Tecnologia Avanzada. He spent 2 years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IBM´s Yorktown Heights Research Center and has authored and co-authored over 600 peer-reviewer papers in international journals. Prof. Castano is one of the most cited latinamerican scientists in his field and has advised over 60 PhD thesis and numerous BSc and MSc disertations. He also holds more than 20 patents and has been able to effectively transfer nanotechnology knowledge from the lab to the industry.

Dr. Chong Cheng is an AvH postdoc researcher in Freie Universität Berlin. He obtained his BS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Sichuan University. Then, he pursued his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Changsheng Zhao. From 2013, he had been doing research works at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with Prof. Nicholas A. Kotov as Joint-Training Ph.D. student. After finishing his Ph.D studies, he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Rainer Haag postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Yung-Chih Kuo is a professor at National Chung Cheng University. Claudia Carbone is Assistant Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Drug Sciences, University of Catania, where she teaches Pharmaceutical Technology and Galenic Laboratory in the Course of Pharmacy. She graduated in Pharmacy in 2004 and got her PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology at University of Palermo in 2009. M. Chu

Professor Maoquan Chu was born in Anhui Province in China. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology in 2001. He then did his postdoctoral work in School of Life Science and Technology in Shanghai Jiaotong University, where he delved into biomaterials and nanotechnology. In 2004, he attended the School of Life Science and Technology at Tongji University. In 2007, he won the China Education Ministry’s “New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan”. In 2008, he was hired as a Professor. He is now a principal investigator at the School of Life Science and Technology, Tongji University and also at the Research Center for Translational Medicine, Shanghai East Hospital in China. His main area of research is in nanobiomedicine, with a current focus on cancer imaging and therapy using nanobiomaterials. His research work has been published in many important journals such as Small, Biomaterials, Nanotoxicology, Theranostics, Nanoscale, Carbon, etc.
